fredxmertzSoothesayers had fun playing a wedding at Cozmik Pizza. we got paid, not a lot, but enough to put some money towards mastering our upcoming CD, recorded by Mr. Chris Ross, who by the way makes awesome sushi of which I got to partake on Friday. Big thx to Chris and Jenn for hosting the sushi soiree.
My Mother and Stepdad are here, they got to see us play at the wedding, and I must say they were the best dancers out there, and had the most stamina. I'd expected a more lively crowd, since Tim kinda billed it as 'the PUNK ROCK wedding' but the groom told me both sets of parents are pretty conservative.
Of course i had to take a stab at john McCain and Caribou Barbie from the mic by way of an introduction for our cover of NY Dolls' BORN TO LOSE. Amazingly, I was complimented for that....
Nuxie and i did some xmas shopping after. that late we had to go to box stores, (well... NOT Wallyworld) but Barnes and Noble, Toys R Us (we didnt' get anything there) and Best Buy. night cap was a cup o tea at wandering goat, and it was an early night.
Nuxie's hat panic is mostly over, her ETSY shop is closed right now and she has less than 30 hats on custom order.
Today Santina will be in The Nutcraker as a mouse. (1, 2, 3, .. Awwwwwwww!) and we'll have dinner at Lucky Noodle after.
My Mom is a great visual artist, mostly water colors lately, but also oils, prints and sculpture. She made a xmas card based on a Russian Orthodox icon, called The Black Madonna. Freaking awesome.
so, if this is the last you hear from me before this amazing Winter Solstice, and the beginning of the lengthening of our days and the beginning of the year of no Lord 2009, I wish you Peace, Freedom and Ultimate Victory in all your endeavors (except for THAT one, you PERV!)
also, don't drink and drive, cause you might spill your drink. its better to wake up in a stranger's home than in a jail cell. or worse. So if you have to steal someone's keys, the universe will forgive you, or maybe even find a fitting reward.
