hey, there's nothing wrong with avoiding processed food, but that thing going around on FACEBOOK with the pink foam isn't correct. not ALL chicken nuggets come from this extruded pink foam stuff, and even those that do, are not washed in ammonia. You can't put food in ammonia and then expect someone to eat it after. Now, there may be a substance similar to ammonia in some ways, that is used...
supposedly, according to CNN: American (McDonald's) McNuggets contain the chemical preservative tBHQ, tertiary butylhydroquinone, a petroleum-based product. They also contain dimethylpolysiloxane, “an anti-foaming agent” also used in Silly Putty.
