I'm Baa-aack
Jun. 8th, 2008 11:30 amI'm back. Me and my dad rode our bikes 545 miles from SF to LA in 7 days.
Thursday, I was too sore to finish that day's ride, but I only missed about 30 miles. Special thanks to the Sports Med tent and Sarah from Sonoma for hammering my quads enough that i could finish the last two days: i was good for another 150 miles on Friday and Saturday.
Santina's ballet, Kopellia, is today. Celebratory dinner at PF Chang's to follow.
Thx to everyone who contributed to support my ride, thanks to all the riders, roadies, sports med, massage, and food crew. Thanks to Lori Jean, thanks to my big brother Kevin and my sister Paula.
I won't be riding in 2009, but I'm committed to recruiting 2 or 3 riders and maybe a licensed massage therapist (justin, that's YOU, dude.)
the ride was a BLAST. especially rest stop 4, showed us a REALLY good time, kept us enthusiastic and entertained.
i recommend it as a GREAT charity, and a physical challenge, not to mention fun as hell.
It's good to be back. extra SPECIAL thanx to my fam for being so patient and supportive.
