Yes! I'm back from a trip to New York City with my son and some other family to see Arnie's film, "LORELEI" which was filmed in 2018 in and around Portland Oregon. The production receives a nice bounty from the State of Oregon film commission, (I think maybe Georgia famously has something similar?)
The showing at Tribeca Film Fest was scheduled for May of 2020, and we all know what happened then...
So we had a re-do on Juneteenth! (YAY!)
June 19, 2021 LORELEI screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, and this time I was luckily able to bring my son ((( @jimmy_knives ))) along on the trip, and he had a BLAST! He met up with several artist pals, got a tattoo from an illustrator peer

Lorelei (All Caps?) appeared to be a smash hit. A lot of the Portland people showed up in NYC to attend, and party with Arnie, Sabrina Doyle, and meet up with Pablo Schreiber and Jena Malone.
So, that happened.
The rooftop party after the movie was VERY LOUD and the top floor was not exclusive to our party, so it quickly filled with drunk students and I left at 1 am. Quite a view tho....
James met up with his high school friend, who watched the movie and went to the party. Ostensibly, COVID restrictions had been observed, but I believe New York drops all (or most) restrictions ? We didn't wear masks at the party, and were not asked to, but that was the only place I didn't have a mask,
except for some time riding the citibike,
I rode the citibike electric to Central park twice, and to Times square twice, explored the west side, east side and straight down the middle of manhattan, I did it all by myself, and did NOT wear any earbuds. But I wore two masks, or I could say a mask and a bandana.
More to come, I'm sure, but thats it for now. I drove back from Portland at midnight, arrived here before 2, and entered suspended animation
I'm waiting for laundry to dry, then off to the broom shop
