I had lunch with Nathen before the Flogging Molly show Monday October 16. He offered me five passes to the show, so I took Kalyn from work, John Cain (from Pirate Radio), Jacob Sanchez (Black Forest bartender), my son James, &; his girlfriend Ilee

On October 22nd, my friend Collin Burrowes flew in from Canada to stay for a few days. 
The main event was the Jesus and Mary Chain concert, October 24th, originally scheduled for McDonald Theater, it was moved to Hi-Fi music hall, a much smaller venue.
I got overly trashed, and had a great time, but don't remember all of it, and that's part of why I've quit drinking
Collin is a blast, and we laugh ourselves into a foaming snot when we hang around together
Collin hasn't taken a drink in about 2 years, and he decided this night would be OK to kind of 'go off the wagon' so he tried some of our local beer, and enjoyed drinking, at least the first few, he later decided that it wasn't really worth it, and I'm sure him seeing me in full blown black-out added to the sentiment.

So I'm not drinking, and I'm feeling good about that.  Its only been 2 weeks, but I'm enjoying more control.

Collin went with me to a double band practice October 26th, first The Indiscretions, the Davy Jones' Locker Combo. Collin got some pictures, which he posted, but the lighting was awful and I look fat and gross. 
(Maybe I am kind of fat and gross.)

The Indiscretions were asked to p lay a benefit at Old Nick's for Horse Rescue.  Davy Jonesers wanted to jump on the bill, since we were looking for a show to play during that time, as Satya's daughter (who he has never met yet) will be here during that time.

Meanwhile, I've been working tons of hours at Garden Place, I worked a swing shift Monday, then did the tough turnaround from swing to day shift on Tuesday, and today I'll work a swing shift, Friday, I'll do the 'overnight' or Nocturnal shift. 

Its only a 50 hour week, but they are ten hour shifts, and the change from swing to day shift, to night shift, is a little tough, but:

I've got that double gig next week, then I'll drive to L.A. with waffles and do thanksgiving with my mom and stepdad in redondo beach, and hopefully get some time to lay on the beach and be a bum.

James turned 22 yesterday.
