Happy Boxing Day
Dec. 26th, 2010 08:43 amotherwise known as the feast of St Stephen. I hope everyone had a great holiday, whatever your spiritual affiliation.
I have no hangover, though I mixed spirits, red wine with dinner, beer while playing cards, and some fine single malt scotch before reading the bedtime story. (Glenlivet, 12 year)
Its 8:20 am, I just walked the dog and took a quick jaccuzi soak. The Mertzes are staying in Redondo with my folks, all my siblings were here last night, and we had an excellent dinner, made by my Mom, Lamb and Potatoes, King Crab legs (at the request of my son), salad, sauteed mushrooms,
We got a new dog, as a gift from my mother in law. I was against it, but had to bite my lip a bit to not be a grumpy old man: I didn't want to just say "HELL NO" even though that was my first reaction. we already have a dog, a GOOD dog, and I don't know anything about the new dog, we didn't really pick her out, she was just given to us. Its a Chihuahua/Scottish Terrier mix. I would not have chosen that breed. Also, her personality appears timid, and she's not crate-trained. This could mean a looonngg ride home.
We're driving back out to Norwalk today, hopefully I'll be able to pick up the new dog today and bring her back here to meet Waffles and try to assimilate somewhat before they get in a car together.....
Then when we get back to Eugene, I have to find a new job.

Wednesday, I went w/ Nuxie, brother-in-law and Sister-in-law to CHINCHIN dimsum on Sunset, then Amoeba records, and finally a show of FANCY SPACE PEOPLE at THE ECHO, also on Sunset. In my sister in law's 2011 Toyota 4 Runner. Me and Nuxie crashed at Candy's place in La Habra, while the kids bonded with the new puppy at Grandma's House in Norwalk.
My son has a youtube channel, he puts up some of his art (static, not animated yet) paired with the remixes he creates on FRUITYLOOPS. Candy also got him 'two turntables and a microphone' so he will be spinning vinyl... I don't know where he plans to do that exactly, but he's now got 2 NUMARK tables and a mixer. I dont think they're good tables for scratching, tho.
