fredxmertzon The Aids/Lifecycle ride in June, I was riding along chatting with some fellows on day 2, and I heard a guy (maybe in his late 50's) who sounded EXACTLY like Huell Howser (if you live in L.A./Southern California, You will know him from KCET's 'California Gold') Huell Howser is like the perfect southern gentleman in some ways, but the naive actually stings sometimes....
This rider was from the same town in Tennessee that Huell Howser is from.
anyways, this cat on the ride said he had met Huell a few times, and that Huell Howser is fiercely closeted... what a shame. Actually, he's this studly, handsome, guy with a sweet smile and almost criminally good-natured. I guess a lot of the older lady fans would be crushed if they knew, but as soon as I heard the other rider say it, a light bulb went on: OH YEAH! HUELL HOWSER! How could I not have gotten that before?!?!
I'm not trying to OUT Huell Howser... OK, maybe I am....
