Tonight at Shotokan, Sensei talked about the wind blowing the leaves and demonstrated several techniques based on this type of movement. Your arms become branches and your fingers become the leaves, or needles! Though the trunk sways gently, you can see a whip-like action happening as the leaves shake and toss off the water. Using this image, each drop of water becomes a deadly projectile, like a shuriken (throwing star)
