Eeeeek!
My truck is in the shop, getting the valve cover gasket replaced. It's a job I've done before with my old Toyota pickup truck, but the engine in my current truck is a lot more complex than that old one. The truck is in the shop, getting the work done, and I still have items to move out of my house before 5 pm today.
so, its time for a panic attack.
I have been planning to purchase a travel trailer and live onsite at the broom shop for a few months until I can wrangle a better spot, either as a rental, or as a place to park the trailer. But I can't [purchase the trailer until the house funds go through, and now I've found that the trailer inspection is a 2 week process that happens AFTER your purchase the trailer, so I have 2 weeks to hole up somewhere until I can secure the new hideout.

I keep putting the cart before the horse in some ways, but I had to sell the house. Luckily, my house-mate Dave appears to have landed in a sweet spot, living with Samantha and Amber in their house on the coast, and Dave also planned a job working for Samantha's boss, Uncle Rich. Dave was working at Willamette Valley Chemical company and his workplace was literals AND figuratively toxic. He had worked there for over 15 years, and he had seen changes come and go, and watched as all their good employees left for greener pastures. and this was a constant source of anxiety for Dave. So he quit. the stars lined up for him, he had been talking about moving in with Samantha for ages, and they lived here at my house together on the weekends, then Sam would drive back out to Yachtats , often late on monday mornings, after they had been together for the weekend. I definitely miss their company, sharing meals, having outrageous laughs
I'd like to think that some of Dave's good luck would transfer to me somehow. but I'm in this high stress situation again. It makes me happy to know that Dave got through some tough times, and he's doing really well where he is now.
Looking for accommodations for me and my kitty cat, Apple. I have a few friends who wouldn't mind putting me up for a couple of days, but the trailer won't be ready for 2 weeks..... groan
