HOT FUN IN THE SUMMERTIME

fredxmertzI got my back yard setup with a carving station so that I can do woodcarvings from home. but the heat today is not going to make it easy.
I was in portland last week, house-sitting at my son's apartment on Hwthorne. and dog-sitting Pepperoni, his Jack Rusell Terrier. I really enjoyed having a dog's company. I visited my daughter and ex-wife briefly, but James had to cut his camping trip short, so I was only there one night.
yesterday, I woke up at 4 am, and rode my bike to the top of the butte to try to spot Neowise, the comet. No luck with that, but I watched the sun come up from the top of the butte...... so,
I cooked breakfast for Dave and Samamntha, scrambled eggs, wheat toast, and home fries. for lunch, I made poutine out of the home fries.
Then I took a (another) bike ride out west of eugene to the wetlands on the bike path, and watched the sun go down.
Its July 27th, one year ago, I broke up with Jen. She is still on my mind a lot, but I have to be strong and avoid any contact with her, for my own health and safety
