Nov. 17th, 2020 07:08 amHi Everybody.
Thanks again for finding me here, I hope you are all doing well. If its possible to thrive right now, at least as well as possible, with the thought that Thanksgiving, Seasonal Holidays, etc will be very different for a lot of us.
congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They weren't my first pick, but I'm glad things turned out this way, and a little more than surprised that it was so close. I'm more than disappointed in the USA right now.
I try to get out and enjoy nature as much as I can. I'm managing anxiety pretty well for the most part,
keeping a daily gratitude list, eating well, sleeping very well.
Its a strange time to be alive in many ways.

After almost a year of carving this 'Old Man of the Woods' face, I'm finally starting to work in a little more whimsy to each piece. These are more of the early examples.
A man came into the shop last week with his walking stick that he purchased from Thurman someime in the 80's. I loved the carving on it, and have worked to incorporate some of the details, that are perhaps less 'photo-realistic' and more fantastic or 'grotesque'. This fellow, named Tony, lives in the area, but he said that finding the source of this walking stick, and the carving, and the leather grip, had been a long process and Tony was surprised that the shop was here, and honestly, he was almost in tears. He bought 2 of my carved walking sticks.
The shops sells through a website: www.broommagic.com, on on ETSY through Samantha's shop BroomChick.

Peace,, Love, Rise Above
