My current job is winding down

I'm at Garden Place, working the overnight shift, they call it the NOC shift, being Nocturnal and all....
I mean to tell you, this CONTIGO travel mug is the worst. Its like a dribble glass, only its hot coffee dribbling down the front of my shirt
I'm unusually occupied with work, compared to most summers, I've got a pretty grueling schedule, even though its sometimes less than forty hours per week, they are ten hour shifts, with a few outstanding moments, which shall include saturdays for the next two weeks, July 13th and 20th will be Double Shifts, totaling 15 hours for those days. and the aforementioned NOC shifts are not as easy to recover from for ma anymore.
In the realm of making music, I did get some invitations to play some interesting shows, but I've had to turn them down, what with so many work hours scheduled through July. I was invited to do some acoustic music for Zumwalt Campgroud during the Oregon Country Fair. it was a paying gig, but I had already agreed to this monster double shift that day.... The Indiscretions were invited to play at Luckey's on July 20th, and I actually could do it, since it would be AFTER that monster shift.....but Samantha is out of town that day
I've got appearances scheduled at the Tenmile Mountain Jam in Yachats on August 9th and tenth.
For the fourth of July, I slept most of the day, after working NOC shift at Shankle Program in Glenwood. Dave bbq'd some steaks and corn, then Jenn and I rode bicycles up to the water tower on 25th and Lawrence to watch fireworks.
Davy Jones Locker Combo has a show August 16th with Erik Anarchy and Drainage X at Future Bar in Portland. but none of the bands I'm in have been contacted by the Whiteaker Block Party committee yet. Pirate Radio is looking forward to hosting The Slackers again in December.
