BEEFHEART REMIXES
Jan. 7th, 2011 05:40 pmCreated in a single week late last month, Fist Fam producer Al Lover reworked an entire album’s worth of boom-bap mixes utilizing the late Captain Beefheart’s 1967 debut, Safe as Milk. Going against the grain compared to what I’ve heard from the rest of the San Francisco-based collective, Safe as Milk Replica is grounded in dirty guitar samples which serve as a tremendous platform to jump off with the beats. The entire album can be downloaded for free from Al Lover’s Bandcamp page.

Wanda Jackson to play Letterman & Conan with Jack White, adds Nashville date
by CHRIS DELINE on Jan 5, 2011 • No Comments
Wanda Jackson has just announced a new series of tour dates including a Grand Ole Opry performance as well as late night spots performing with Jack White on Letterman and Conan.

I've been considering it for a while, and I'm thinking about going SOAPLESS. It means less chemicals in my system. I always seem to get super dry skin in winter anyways, my only concern is the B.O. I get after boxing and cycling... It sure would piss off the soap companies if we could all pull that off and hopefully Procter & Gamble and Gillette would decrease the amount of animal testing they do

... poor little bunnies.
