nostalgia trippin : TOYS
Jul. 4th, 2006 02:35 pmMiss Nuxie and I went to see CHUMBAWAMBA at the San Pedro YWCA on one of our first dates in 1990. Turns out that Tim (The Secret Hippie) from HOTBOX/The Shudders was also at that show.
Today I painted a pharoah burial mask on my banjo case, we got onto the subject of micronauts and I found a bunch of old toy sites....
'Pharoid' was my favorite micronaut because of the sarcophagus he slept in...
everybody remembers these things
and these 'fisher price toys'
but few of you will know VERTIBIRD. My oldest brother Kevin had one. These were probably responsible for a lot of decapitations...
I had this playset when I was about 8. the airplane latches onto the pontoon boat. Me and my friend Mark would play with this in the pond he had at his house, and we used to have to clean the moquito larvae off of it afterwards. other times it would 'crash' out of a second story window.
