fredxmertzI missed the SMITHS Tribute at Wandering Goat Coffeehouse last night, but The Soothesayers played at the 'MISS WHITEAKER' pageant at Sam Bond's. This was a benefit for Sexual Assault Support Services, and Eugene City mayor Kitty Piercy was there for the whole event. I tried to get her a Soothesayers T Shirt, but she left before I was done putting away guitars and stuff.
Tonight, the Soothesayers play a memorial for 'Evil' Eve Cienfuegos. I didn't know her but our bass player, Tim, dated her a long time ago. She passed away from liver cancer last month. Should be a really fun show. I hope Jimmy's back issues improve and allow him to play a set as long as last night.
