When I was a kid, Sunday night was radio night.

Sundays were always representative of the drudgery to come: You have school tomorrow morning, so Mom wants you in bed early. Now we all know the struggle of getting the kids into bed at a decent hour, but I would usually go willingly, because I had a small transistor radio under my pillow. Sometimes I would use the one ear bud, but other times, I would just lay my head right against the little speaker.

Dr. Demento was my favorite show, but I quickly came to enjoy Rodney on the Roq. and then the show that followed, The Young Marquis and Stanley.

So I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.

Friday, I went to see Flogging Molly at the Cuthbert Amphitheater. Pirate Radio did our 'Rock Against Racism' event immediately following, as an 'after-party'. My buddy Nathen Maxwell joined us, and we raised $250 for Southern Poverty Law Center.
