I'll have a practice with Pirate Radio on Wednesday at Roadrunner Studios. The Soothesayers play at Sara B's birthday party at Lucky's (!) on Friday! SHIT!
AMP PROBLEMS
On Thursday night, The Soothesayers opened for U.K. SUBS at Old Nick's. When I turned on my SUNNO)))) Concert Lead head, connected to my Carvin 4'12" slant-face: the amp failed to turn on. The last time it had been used was by Fred Cole of the PIERCED ARROWS at Old Nick's on May 23. So I had to use Teren's Crate guitar head. It didn't sound like Fred Mertz that much, because I just started playing without making a huge deal of EQ'ing: UK SUBS had been adamant that they wanted to start on time. Soothesayers sounded fine. If Jason Kelly or Bruce were there, they would have given me shit about the tone, but we played fine. then the second band played: Not a Part of It. when UK SUBS were getting ready to play, their guitar player's amp ALSO took a dump, but Jet said that he had already had some issues with the amp (BlackStar) so he wound up using Teren's head, too. UK SUBS were amazing, btw.
