SaturnDay, snow is melting
Mar. 9th, 2019 11:59 am Hello Fellow Earthlings,
We had a near record snowfall on the valley floor last week. We sometimes get a light dusting that lasts for a few days, but this was like a 50-year storm: 13 inches on Monday night, Feb 25th, and another 3-5 inches on wednesday, the 27th.
Feb 22nd, Davy Jones Locker Combo played at Lombard Pub in Portland. I'd been staying at my dad's place in portland, so 'the band' (Scot and Satya) drove up without me. Unfortunately, Satya ran out of gas just south of salem on the way to the gig. The show was really fun though, We played a great set, the sound was good, and lots of friends showed up: Colin Gerber form Brainiax, and The Wild Jumps, and Chad Winkler!
on the way back home after gig, Satya got a flat tire, and the guys had to call Auto Club for the 2nd time that night..... Yikes.
March 2nd, Le Petit Mort played at a Mardi Gras Party on North Jefferson, where Scot and Russell dwell. There was a WEEN cover band playing when I got there at 8:30, and they finished at about 11, Petit Mort played a truly inspired set, (LPM features Satya, Scot Milligan, Skot Boyes, and myself)
The Indiscretions play a show March 15, THE IDES OF MARCH!
and another show March 28th at Sam Bond's Garage!
