I remember hearing about an alternative 'monetary' system in Japan, called 'caring friendship points' where you could trade elder care, shopping deliveries, childcare, gardening etc for other things that normally require cash.

I wonder what ever happened to the idea, cause I think its a good one.

Nuxie re-opened her etsy store (www.nuxiemade.etsy.com) on Friday night. she had 2 orders within the first 15 minutes, and 6 orders before Saturday morning. its now 9 am (daylight savings) and she's got 6 orders. Friday was her last day at her 'day job'!

I have been trying to figure out how to do a brim like that on my hats for ages. I am so jealous.
