¿Por qué se llama Tumba Muerto?

well, since I booked the gig, we are called Tumba Muerto. Me, Colin and Jimmy D play a mix of stripped down (usually acoustic) psychobilly and (usually acoustic) ska, with harmonica playing the role of 'horn section'

once I get shirts and stickers made, the guys will have to accept the name. Is it really that bad? the translation is something like 'tumble down dead' or 'fall down dead' , but its also the name of a town in Panama.

We are playing at The Gemini in Lake Oswego, OR on Friday 11/19. Lake Oswego is an 'upscale suburb' of Portland, according to eyewitness reports. We'll be playing with a group called EIGHT53, and one other.

Joel here...

My vague memory of high-school spanish translates it Death Tomb, and google translates it as Grave Death in spanish. Not that bad a name, although weird unless you're singing in Spanish or something.

Colin said no one could pronounce it

and that it sounds redundant, like Tomb of the Dead Corpses.

They didn't come up with anything better yet....
