DAVID SEDARIS

saw DS @ the Hult Ctr last night. Tix were an arm and a leg, but we were front row center, my xmas prezzy to Miss Nuxie. He read and spoke for about 1.75 hours, and the fucking place was PACKED!

The Wells Fargo branch manager introduced him as 'Peter Sedaris' and then David said, "Thanks, DICK!"

Best portion was called 'Just a quick email', pretty much a shock piece... He read funny snippets from his diary, and a piece about being in France when Obama was elected.

EMO FLASH BACK

Broken Heart are Blue "Because I Am" - couldnt' find any 'Ordination of Aaron' vids on utube.

THE VSS! Loudest band evarrrrrr! Sonny from Angel Hair made a great anti-Robert Plant. You can totally hear the Bauhaus influence... Me and Nuxie saw them live too many times to count. usually driving down the Che Cafe in San Diego.

M.O.B. ludicrous gibs at Sat. Market. I cut out a little early cause, I'm usually the bass player on those tunes and don't know 'em all on tin sandwich yet. Before I left, We had some people film us, and made about $30 between the 6 of us, Alika, Jonny, Joel, Jake, Chris Heathen & yrs truly Mr. Mertz. $5 for only 2 hours of work, hmmmmm. guess I can't quit the day job yet.

Ran into Jon Espinoza from work at CDWorld. JP got Arch Enemy's 'Wages of Sin' ( some cheesy metal probly) and Mertz was severaly disappointed by a young dubliners CD 'With all due respect'....

the big moment of the day? Nuxie scored her 1000th sale! that is one thousand hats!!!! also that purchase happened to be a quadruple! 4 hats for Helsinki Finland!

as you were.
